Manifesto
Very soon, to mark World Technology Day, something different will appear on Movistar’s screens.
Today, screens are fully embedded in our lives. They inform, entertain, sell, accompany us… And only occasionally do they pause to ask what they are actually provoking.
Pantallas para la Reflexión challenges our relationship with technology by questioning its habitual use.
Led by HUMANSDID in collaboration with Movistar, the project proposes using screens as spaces for reflection on our relationship with technology.
A creative competition where Movistar’s screens will give visibility to ideas that do not aim to sell or persuade, but to raise questions. An unusual gesture that places cultural conversation at the center and trusts critical thinking as a core value.
This is a very special competition. Instead of reserving the final decision for an expert circle, the power is placed in the hands of the people.
The HUMANSDID community — anyone who chooses to register — will decide, through a vote, which proposal becomes the winner.
Up to 15 finalists (selected by a professional jury) will be publicly exhibited as part of the project, forming a collective portrait of how new generations see — and question — technology.
And yes, you heard that right… your participation will be key in determining who wins.
During the month of February, students of design, communication, and creativity from across Spain will work on pieces that explore our relationship with technology.
Perspectives that may unsettle us, make us think, or spark conversation in public spaces.
Voting will open on March 9.
So if you’re not yet part of the HUMANSDID community, register now so we can notify you when the competition begins and you can cast your vote.
Project by project, our community is defining the identity of HUMANSDID.
We continue to work on the development of many other projects like this, and we will need your participation through the HUMANSDID application. If you have not yet registered, do it now.
