School Tree Growing Campaign in Kenya
Far beyond reforestation and CO2 offsetting, this project encourages educating Kenyan children about the vital importance of trees in their lives by incorporating tree planting and care into the official school programs.
In Kenya, 20 schools, 20,000 students, and 800 teachers will plant 20,000 native trees in the counties of West Pokot, Nyeri, Nairobi, Garissa and Kajiado. Each student will care for their tree, learning the skills to become lifelong environmental stewards. An initiative that goes beyond planting—it would empower a generation to protect their environment through knowledge and action.
By combining education, activism, and community participation, this initiative fosters the next generation of environmental leaders. This initiative is powered by the commitment of the Nature Lover Organization (led by Dr. Mary Manana), guided by Markus Foster (TreeSixtyº), and strengthened by the participation of a growing community. Together, we can create a tangible and lasting impact for future generations, turning it into a magnificent first step in HUMANSDID’s history, our Project #0.
